Have you ever wondered just who are the members of Na Koa Football Club?  Well they come from all walks of life, range widely in ages and come from all over the country.  The common thread is that they are all passionate supporters of Warrior Football.  Today the spotlight is on Keola Ulu, our newest member.

Name/Hometown: Keola Ulu/Nanakuli

Current City: Kapolei

Company/Position: Storekeeper Self Storage LLC/Owner

Who is your role model and why? Both my father and father-in-law. They’ve loved and treated their wives with respect. And they’ve always ensured their respective families were provided for and were without want.

Name one thing you’re passionate about. My personal faith in God.

What is the most interesting place you’ve ever traveled to and what made it the most interesting? Hands down,Tajikistan. We were performing a Security fly away mission when our plane was grounded due to a mechanical error. While the plane was undergoing repairs, I spent a night at a posh hotel half way into my deployment to Iraq. It was a nice respite from the ravages of war.

One thing that most people don’t know about you. I’m a political junkie. It consumes much of my free time.

When did you join Na Koa and why did you join?  Why would you encourage a UH football fan to join Na Koa? I joined Na Koa on Oct 17th, just a few days following the team’s devastating loss at San Jose. I’ve been meaning to join for sometime now, but always seemed to find an excuse to put it off. Following that defeat at SJSU, I felt, “What better time to contribute to University of Hawaii football than now, when the team needs my support and backing more than ever?”  It’s easy to support the team during the good times (bandwagon fans), but it’s in times of crises and distress when the Warriors rely upon its fanbase the most for inspiration and more importantly, a vote of confidence.

Who is your all-time favorite University of Hawaii football player? Timmy Chang.  For me, it’s where it all first started.

What is your favorite memory of University of Hawaii Football?  The 2007 victory against Washington at home to clinch a BCS berth.
