Na Koa Football Club, the organization dedicated to supporting excellence in academics and athletics for University of Hawaii Warrior Football, is gearing up for a calendar full of events this Spring, starting with a dinner event on National Letter of Intent Day, Wednesday, February 1.

The event at Willows Restaurant will feature new Warrior Head Coach Norm Chow in an intimate dinner setting, encouraging personal interaction between Coach Chow and dinner attendees.  Coach Chow will also introduce his coaching staff, and hold a brief discussion about the recruits who sign to the Warrior Football program that day.  Tables of eight will be sold for $2,500 with a UH football coach at each table.  Click here for the Letter of Intent Event Registration Form

On Tuesday, April 10, the 18th Annual Ed Wong Memorial Na Koa Golf Tournament will take place at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club.  Teams of three will cost $1,000 and the tournament is expected to sell out before the deadline date of March 10, so golfers are encouraged to submit payment to save their spots.  Shotgun start is at 11 a.m., and the fee includes golf for three people, followed by dinner and awards.  Click here for Golf Tournament Registration Form

Also in April, Na Koa is also planning a live broadcast on KFVE as the team finishes spring practice sessions.  The live broadcast during primetime will be focused on Coach Chow and his staff, as well as some of the players, giving them an opportunity to talk about the upcoming season in the Mountain West Conference, the recruiting class, spring practice and all the details UH football fans want to know as the Chow era begins at UH.  Viewers will be able to call in with donations, as well as questions for Coach Chow and his staff.

“This Spring marks a critical period for the Na Koa Football Club and its members – those who are most passionate about Warrior Football,” said Kimberly Fujiuchi, executive director, Na Koa Football Club.  “The funds we raise this year will go to assist Warrior football players with their academics, including summer school, and many other program needs in 2012.”
