The 16th annual Murphy’s Pigskin Pigout on Thursday, 24 August raised $60,000 for Na Koa and an additional $30,000 for the Hawaii Bowl Foundation.

If you didn’t make it to the event, you missed out on a great event signaling the start of the football season. Over 300 University of Hawaiʻi Warrior football fans and supporters enjoyed great food from Murphy’s Bar and Grill, Hukilau Restaurant, and Papa John’s Pizza and hosted drinks from Heineken on Merchant Street in a “tailgate” like atmosphere.

Inside, a “store” showcased gift certificates, sports memorabilia, and other special items. But the live auction was where the action was! Over 80 items including jerseys, helmets and footballs from various NFL teams; trips to the Neighbor Islands and US Mainland; unique experiences, and a large number of one-of-a-kind opportunities. Head Coach Norm Chow and the entire coaching staff were at the event mingling with the guests throughout the night.

Thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and helped at the event. And a very special mahalo to Don and Marion Murphy for their support!!!
