Jon Weber was an offensive tackle on the 1968 and 1969 teams that went that 13-6-1.  An outstanding lineman, Weber was named to the UPI 1st Team Little All-Coast Team in 1969 and played in the 1970 Hula Bowl.

Tell us about your family: I met my wife of 42 years in Hawaii while in school.  We have 4 children, 3 daughters and 1 son.

Where have your career travels taken you since you left UH?  I started my career with the power company in Portland, OR.  We moved to Grants Pass, OR, Roseburg, OR, Worland, WY, Coos Bay, OR, Roseburg again and then back to Portland where I retired.

What do you do in your spare time? Steelhead and salmon fishing and gardening, both vegetables and flowers. 

What did you get out of your academic and/or athletic experiences at the University of Hawaii? Solid business acumen, lifelong friends and steel knees.

Who were some of your teammates?  Are you able to stay in touch with any of them? Murray Cassidy, Tom Fruechtel, Bill Turner, Tony Nakazawa and Doug Woodward.  We try to get together for a ballgame each year.

What is your favorite memory or memories of University of Hawaii Football?  Playing for Coach Cal Murphy.  Playing on a winning football team.  Playing in the 1970 Hula Bowl game.
