The 11th Annual Season End Alumni Tailgate brought over 25 former Hawaii football players together before the South Alabama game on December 1, 2012. Players from the 1960’s to recent graduates took part in the event and had a great time catching up with each other and reminiscing about “the good old days”.
The alumni players then showed their support for the current team by being part of the human tunnel and cheered on the Warriors as they entered the field.
The annual event was coordinated by former players Kelly McGill, Na Koa Board member Darrick Branch, and Na Koa Board Membership and Alumni Relations Chair, Mike Biscotti. Na Koa organized the refreshments with help from Paradise Beverages and Centerplate.
UH football alumni were joined by Bring It On Sports owner and former UH player, Paul Manera, and the Southern Cross All Stars made up of players from Australia and New Zealand. While in Hawaii, the All Stars visited the UH campus, took in a Warrior football practice session, and played an exhibition game against the Hawaii Gridiron League All Stars.
