What is the difference between the UH Foundation,
`Ahahui Koa Anuenue and Na Koa Football Club?
The focus and goals of these non-profit organizations
are different. The University of Hawaii Foundation raises
private funds to support the entire University of Hawaii System.
`Ahahui Koa Anuenue is the official athletic fundraising organization
for the University, primarily funding scholarships for student
athletes attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Na Koa
Football Club provides direct financial support to the UH
Warrior Football Program. See our Mission & Goals for a breakdown of priority
areas of funding.
If I make a donation through either UH Foundation or ` Ahahui Koa Anuenue – can I designate a certain percentage be directed to Na Koa in support of Warrior Football?
You may designate a portion of a general donation be directed
to Na Koa. Your donation may be made by check or online.
What is Na Koa’s membership count?
Na Koa Football Club membership roster is quickly approaching
the milestone of 1,000 active members.
Does the club have a paid or volunteer staff? Are Board members compensated in any way?
Na Koa has two paid staff members, the Executive Director and an Administrative Assistant.
Board members are unpaid for the time and resources they contribute
to Na Koa. For a list of the Na Koa Board members, please
visit our Officers & Board Members page
Does Na Koa have a special membership for supporters who live on the Mainland? How about for former players? Are there chapters in certain states?
The Warrior Football Program has supporters all over the
world, and we are getting organized on the Mainland. An announcement
will be made in the near future.
Is my membership donation tax deductible?
Yes it is. Your tax deduction is based on the level of
membership you select and whether or not you choose to receive
the fulfillment items. If you prefer NOT to accept those items,
your membership donation is 100% deductible. If you accept
the fulfillment, we will advise you of the net value of your
donation that is considered tax deductible. Please visit
our Membership Info page for information on the different
membership levels.
