|
Thirteen Warrior football players were among the hundreds of graduates at the Mid-Year Commencements Exercises held on Saturday, December 19th at the Stan Sheriff Center. 11 of the players completed their eligibility this past season.
The graduates were Aaron Bain, Victor Clore, John Estes, Jakeem Hawkins, Ray Hisatake, Raphael Ieru, Daniel Johnson, Aaron Kia, Chris Leatigaga, Viliami Nauahi, Brashton Satele, Tuika Tufaga and Leon Wright-Jackson.
Each of the graduates received a H-logo stole courtesy of the UH Letterwinners Club and participated in a pre-graduation breakfast along with their families and Letterwinners in other sports at the UH Letterwinners Clubhouse.
One of Coach McMackin’s goals is to graduate all players. To assist the Warrior football program accomplish this goal, Na Koa raises funds for summer school tuitions (about $250,000 in 2009) and a full-time academic coordinator (about $40,000 in 2009).
