Aloha Nā Koa members,
Happy New Year!
Your Warriors finished the year strong with a win against UNLV in our final home game resulting in a regular season record of four wins and four losses. We capped off the season with a strong showing on national TV and win over the “other UH” (University of Houston) at the New Mexico Bowl held in Frisco, Texas. Thanks to our team following safety protocols, the support of the medical and training staff, and the entire department, we were one of two teams in the Mountain West Conference that played all eight regular season games!
The recruiting “dead period” continues until 15 April and precludes any in-person contact with prospective student-athletes. We are in contact with recruits via phone calls or virtual means of communication (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.) in anticipation of the “traditional” signing day on Wednesday, 3 February 2021 and look forward to adding more Warriors to our team.
We are working closely with Athletics Director David Matlin and the department on several promising options for a temporary home for our team until the new stadium is completed. We hope to be able to share this information with our fans soon.
On behalf of our team, thank you for your steadfast support of Nā Koa and Warrior Football. We wish you all the best in 2021 and look forward to the day when we can play in front of our fans again.
Win Every Day!
